Xuemiao XU

Dr. Xuemiao Xu is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering of South China University of Technology. She is also the vice dean of Jundei College of Guangzhou International Campus of South China University of Technology, a young talent in scientific and technological innovation of Guangdong Province, and a rising star in the field of science and technology of the Pearl River. She is a key researcher in the research direction of Smart City in the National Key Laboratory of Subtropical Architecture Science, the Joint Laboratory of Big Data and Intelligent Robotics of Education Department of Guangdong Province, and the Key Laboratory of Computational Intelligence and Cyber Space Information of Guangdong Province. She is also a committee member of several specialized committees of the Chinese Computer Society, including Multimedia Intelligence of Computer Vision and Image Graphics Society, and Graphics Society of Computer Science.

Professor Xu has published over 50 papers in important international journals and conferences related to artificial intelligence, vision and graphics in recent years. Among them, 36 are SCI papers, 1 is an ESI highly cited paper, 15 are ACM/IEEE Transactions journal papers, 8 are from top conferences, and 20 invention patents have been applied for, with 9 patents having been authorized. He has also led his graduate student team to win two national championships in the “Digital Human” AI challenge and visual challenge organized by Alibaba Cloud, won the national championship in the “Digital China Innovation Competition” - intelligent inventory, and won the national third place in the “National AI Competition” (pedestrian re-identification).

Yong LI

Yong Li is a postdoctoral researcher at South China University of Technology. While working on his PhD, he was advised by Yotam Gingold at George Mason University. In May 2024, he was awarded “Distinguished Academic Achievement” from the Department of Computer Science at GMU. Before pursuing his PhD, he was a senior software developer at Baidu. He received his bachelor and master degree from Sun Yat-sen University in June 2013 and 2015 respectively. His research interests include geometry processing, human-computer interaction, deep learning and programming languages.

JIANG, Ying-Jin (Franklin)

I am a senior student at South China University of Technology, currently serving as a research assistant in the SMIL and Pazhou Lab under the guidance of Prof. Mingkui Tan. My research focuses on trustworthy MLLMs and AIGC detections.

Zhiyuan ZHONG

I am currently a CS PhD student at University of Utah, advised by Prof. Guanhong Tao. I obtained my B.E. in Computer Science from SUSTech, advised by Prof. Yepang Liu. I also spend a wonderful time as a research assistant at HKUST(GZ), advised by Prof. Xinlei He.

Zhuowen LIANG

My current research is on Retrieval Augmented Generation(RAG). I am exploring graph based RAG assisted with Large Language Models to support scientific literature QA tasks. I am also very interested in research fields including Data Mining, Database, Machine Learning and Multimodal Deep-Learning.

Yiyang YAO

My current research is on Multi-Modal Learning, including Contrastive Language-Image Pretraining (CLIP), Multi-Modal LLMs and Domain Adaptation. I am also interested in 3D Reconstruction and Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models.

Jingbo WANG

“Aye captain my captain.”

I am Jingbo Wang, a third-year undergraduate student at South China University of Technology (SCUT). Currently, I am an intern at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), under the supervision of Haoang Li. I also work closely with Wenxuan Song and Han Zhao, whose guidance and support have been invaluable to my research.
